When traveling on the West coast of USA, be sure to stop in the second largest city in the United States, Los Angeles. The biggest city in California is known for the nation’s film and television industry. There are plenty of attractions to spend time on and if you have a couple of days, here are the things you don’t want to miss when planning your stay.

1. Take a studio tour

Universal Studios or Warner Bros. Both studios offer a peek into the world of film. Los Angeles is the entertainment capital of the world and with the studio tour you can experience a behind the scenes experience and some crazy close-ups of your favorite movies and series, you shouldn’t miss.

Universal Studios, however, offer a glance to the world of Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, The Simpsons, King Kong and much more, whereas in the Warner Bros. studios you can get a peek into Friends’ Central Perk Cafe, DC Universe, Gilmore Girls, The Big Bang Theory, etc…

2. Walk among the Stars at Hollywood Walk of Fame

Take a walk through the handprints and footprints of countless celebrities, this unique street stretches for 1.3 miles (2.1 km) east to west, from Gower Street to La Brea Avenue and to 0.4 miles (0.7 km) north to south on Vine Street between Yucca Street and Sunset Boulevard.
Now there are more than 2,600 stars on the walk of fame.

3. Dolby theater – Oscars

Get immersed in the biggest and oldest worldwide entertainment awards ceremony by taking an amazing tour of the Dolby theater. This is the place where the Academy Awards, known as the Oscars, are awarded. The tour is entertaining and full of fun trivia, it takes you on the exact route that celebrities take each year.

4. Enjoy the beach

The beaches in Los Angeles are a great place to relax, bike, go surfing, take a walk and have a swim, the most famous ones are Venice Beach and Santa Monica. Santa Monica became well known by the TV series Bay Watch, where there’s also a small theme park build right on the pier. Don’t forget to take a seat and watch the sunset.

5. Beverly Hills

If you’re a huge fan of Hollywood, this is for you! The easiest way to experience it is to go on a bus tour of it. The tour takes you through the place also known as 90210 zip code, you’ll pass the houses of some of the biggest names in Hollywood’s entertainment industry, get a lot of trivia facts like where famous movie stars used to have ordinary jobs etc.

6. The Hollywood Sign

When in Los Angeles, you need to take a picture of the famous Hollywood Sign. One of the best views of it is in the Highland shopping complex, a few floors up on a balcony.

7. Spend the day in Griffith Park

Griffith Park is a large park at the eastern end of the Santa Monica Mountains, this place is great for hikes and beautiful views of the city. The LA Zoo is nearby as well as the Autry western museum and the Space Observatory.

8. Find your inner child – Disneyland

Anaheim, 30 miles (48 km) from the center of Los Angeles, is where you’ll find the legendary park named Disneyland. We think you’re never too old to visit and enjoy the perks of this adventurous park. It takes you on amazing rides and stories that will kick your childhood nostalgia into overdrive. It’s a great way to spend the day!

9. Six flags – adrenaline day

This is definitely a way to spend a whole day getting blood pumping through your veins! The adrenaline park of Six Flags is where you can taste the pulse-pounding roller coasters and various other rides.


10. Sports enthusiasts catch a game

Watch a game in the Dodger Stadium or Staples Center if you are a fan of the game. The great vibe of the locals will immerse you even if you are not familiar with the game.
